Rest day. As expected, the legs are sore but not terrible. No real difficulty moving around, going up/down stairs, etc. Overall this will be a pretty light week before ramping volume back up.

Another rest day. Could have run, but decided to give myself some extra rest. By the end of the day I was a bit antsy but think two days off was the right move.

5.04mi / 267ft of gain. Really easy day, just getting the legs moving again. Legs were heavy and still had some residual soreness but overall everything feels ok.

I meet with a friend once a month for a ~5.5mi walk. It’s a really great way to keep in touch and get some exercise. It does overlap with the time I usually run though so today was a shorter run at 5.03mi / 265ft. A bit quicker though as I wanted to get it done.

8.14mi / 520ft. Want to start ramping the volume a bit although the legs felt pretty dead today. Heavy, effort not matching pace. Pretty bad storm coming so might have a forced day off tomorrow (or a rowing session).

Winter storm here and I couldn’t quite find the motivation to head out in the sleet so I hopped on the rower. 67min, 16101m.

Weekly recap
Overall I think the legs responded well from the big weekend. Soreness wasn’t awful and I felt like I could have run Tuesday. Still, recovery takes longer than it used to. Legs are still heavy & not as responsive as I would like. Next week will be play by ear - I want to get back to volume & more climbing but need to make sure the body is ready.
